Chapter I

The Doctor

Hi, I'm Dr. KVNN Santosh Murthy

Dr. KVNN Santosh MurthyDR. KVNN

M.B.B.S., M.S. (General Surgery) · Wound Care & Limb Salvage Surgeon

For more than fifteen years, one question has opened every case: how do we save a limb when others believe it cannot be saved? It is the work I chose — and would choose again.

I believe in health care that is based on a personal commitment to meet patient needs with compassion and care.

— Dr. KVNN Santosh Murthy

Meeting the Healer

Medical Philosophy

We do not ask “how do we close this wound?”

We ask why it opened — and what must change so the body heals for good.

  1. Every wound tells a story. My role is to read it accurately — through evidence-based diagnostics and individualized treatment plans — so the body can write its own ending.

  2. Every limb deserves a second chance. Not every limb can be saved — but every one deserves a comprehensive salvage evaluation before that life-changing decision is ever made.#NoAmputation

  3. Healing is not a procedure — it is a process. Modern medicine treats a disease; my work is to restore a person — their biology, their mobility, their life beyond the wound.

Specializations

Areas of clinical excellence, built around one objective —

Preserve function.Restore mobility.Improve quality of life.

  1. Diabetic Foot ManagementLeading cause of limb loss

Early diagnosis, pressure redistribution, infection control and biomechanical correction — to heal the ulcer and prevent the next one.

  2. Limb Salvage & Amputation PreventionA second opinion that matters

Every option weighed before amputation: advanced wound procedures, vascular assessment, offloading and regenerative care.

  3. Advanced Wound CareEight wound types managed

Chronic wounds, beyond routine dressings — diabetic, venous, arterial, pressure, radiation and post-surgical.

  4. Regenerative MedicineThe body, helped to heal itself

Supporting the body's own healing — tissue repair, recovery optimisation and functional restoration in selected cases.

  5. Hyperbaric Oxygen TherapyOxygen, delivered to the wound

Adjunctive oxygen under pressure for selected chronic wounds, diabetic foot and radiation injuries, within a wider plan.

Areas of Clinical Focus

( Continued. )

  1. Preventive PodiatryPrevention before complication

Most amputations are preceded by warning signs — foot screening, gait analysis and pressure mapping catch them early.

  2. Orthotics & ProstheticsPrescribed to the patient

Custom devices that correct walking mechanics, redistribute pressure and support long-term functional recovery.

  3. Burns & Tissue ReconstructionFunction, restored after injury

Wound stabilisation, infection control, reconstruction and scar management — including fish-skin biological dressings.

  4. Functional RehabilitationMobility is the real outcome

Healing is incomplete without movement — gait retraining, strengthening and balance to return patients to daily life.

The AWH Difference

Not one procedure, but one integrated ecosystem — Punarnava’s regenerative science, Sri Krishna’s advanced wound care and Padaraksha’s preventive podiatry, working as one.

Helping patients keep moving, keep healing, and keep living.

Patient Stories

Every scar tells a story. Behind every wound is a person waiting to reclaim their life — and that person, not the wound, is always our focus.

Saved from Amputation

He is an excellent podiatric surgeon, treating diabetic foot ulcers very well. Saved a patient from amputation. Advanced procedures like collagen dressings, wound vacuum therapy, fish skin, and skin grafting healed a wound many doctors had given up on.

Who We Treat

The patients who most often find their way to us —

  1. Diabetic Foot Patients

Ulcers, infection, neuropathy, Charcot foot or gangrene — high-risk feet seeking limb salvage.

  2. Chronic Non-Healing Wounds

Wounds open for months despite prolonged treatment, repeated dressings and conflicting opinions.

  3. Amputation-Prevention Cases

Patients seeking an honest second opinion before a major lower-limb amputation.

  4. Burn & Reconstruction Patients

Advanced wound management, tissue preservation, rehabilitation and functional recovery.

  5. Mobility Restoration

Walking difficulty, pressure wounds, foot deformity or biomechanical dysfunction.

  6. Regenerative Candidates

Exploring advanced healing and recovery-support strategies under medical supervision.

Healing is rarely linear — but healing remains possible.
